As a fifteen year old, I watched a documentary about the Icelandic band Sigur Rós called 'Heima'. The one image I never forgot was the deserted plane wreck in the South of Iceland. Ever since it was a dream of mine to visit Iceland and capture it myself one day. 

Often you find yourself in awe when thinking about the remote wilderness and beauty of (imaginative) untouched nature.

Back in the days the men of this village went off seeking work in distant countries, while the women stayed behind to raise children, weave, work the windmills and cultivate the fields. Still today their traditional clothes stand for their bravery and pride and contribute greatly to the preservation of traditional customs of the island.
